I recently watched the period film ‘Anna Karenina‘ which cast Swedish actress Alicia in the role of Kitty (shown above).

Having seen Alicia Vikander earlier this year in A Testament Of Youth I became mesmerised with her grace, strong character and incredible talent.

This former dancer, who studied at American School of Ballet in New York, was a child actor but made her feature film debut in Pure in 2010 (winning the Swedish Guldbagge Award for Best Actress).

Her dance career was sidelined by injuries in her late teens so she followed in the footsteps of her mother to become an actor instead.

This natural beauty has gone from strength to strength in all of her roles – landing a much sought after Academy Award for her role in The Danish Girl.

In her short film career she has appeared in no less than 25 films since 2006, with worldwide public recognition coming from her role in Ex Machina.She has also been a regular on magazine shoots appearing in Vogue, Harpers Bazaar & Vanity Fair to name a few.

Alicia is currently dating fellow actor Michael Fassbender whom she met whilst filming their upcoming movie The Light Between Oceans. This film is set in Australia and is due for release on 2nd September this year.
