…was at the Commodore Ballroom and it was a  foot stomping, hand clapping musical hoe – down.

First up was The Matinee, a roots-rock band local to Vancouver…so much energy it was hard not to dance along. 

Followed by The Current Swell, a bluesy roots band hailing from Victoria, BC that reminded me a little of John Butler Trio.  They fused together trombone, slide guitar & harmonicas and had everyone dancing.
